SWTOR Vs. WoW

I’m pretty deep into SWTOR now, and a few things have ruined WoW for me.

First, Loot all Mobs option. With all the farming I’ve done in WoW this option by itself would have saved me days of playtime. I was doing DMF and Love is in the Air farming lately and I just said “fuck it” and didn’t bother looting the mobs I killed because it takes too long.

Second, Space Missions. You open them up once you get your ship and you can do them daily. You get new ones around every 4 levels and it’s a nice chunk of XP and credits, so I do them on alts while I send them crafting and before I know it, they’ve out leveled the zone so I can just tear through it.

Third, Companion crafting. Seriously, the days of spending hours grinding mats in the open world are over for me. “Kaliyo, I feel like crafting some ship upgrades for a friend.” “I’m tired.” “Bitch, you better get crafting or I’m sending you out the airlock, so help me god!”

Lastly, voice acting. Sure, I have subtitles on so I can read along, but it sure beats the wall of text WoW sends at you for a mission to kill 10 boars. I admit, I haven’t read a single quest in WoW I’ve picked up unless I can’t find the objective, and odds are I’d use WoWhead rather than read the quest log.

WoW will always be my first love, and I’ll keep playing it, but I’ll be resenting the things they’ve held out on us!
