Gay marriage legalization

While I’m not gay, I have no problem with people who are.  Hell, if I have no problem with legalizing marijuana and prostitution, gay marriage should be the last thing I’d be worried about.

That being said (Legalize prostitution!), the only way we’re going to get gay marriage legalized completely in all states through the government is to convince the companies that back the government (You know, the real voters!) that gay marriage is the niche market they’ve been looking for.

Gay couples are not broke, mostly.  If anything they make more money than a male/female household, since they don’t have those pesky unwanted pregnancies bogging them down.  That means they can afford things that make companies money, like nice wedding rings, life insurance, (s)he and (s)he matching cars.

Gay rights are inevitable.  Apparently we can’t go a few years without fucking up someone else’s American dream.  Perhaps America gets off on the whole making some group an outcast until finally they give in and all the politicians come clamoring back to the side of reason shouting how they were secretly all for it the whole time while hiding the burning crosses and effigies.

In fact, now might be the time I start my own religion, and instead of just focusing on legalized prostitution (YES!), branch off into legalized gay marriage.  Someone needs to cater to the fabulous weddings that they will be capable of throwing.  Curtistianity can be that someone.

Myself

I am socially awkward. I’ve always known it, but I didn’t want to admit it. I am no good in crowds or with new people. I like meeting new people but I don’t like imposing myself. I do not foresee this changing anytime in the future. Good luck to me.

21st Century

I grew up in the 80′s and 90′s. Like most people from that era, I’m disappointed that we don’t have flying cars and all the other amazing things movies from that time promised us.

However, what I’m really disappointed about is the lack of equality in this country. America, “the greatest country on Earth” feels like it’s taking a backslide back into the 1950′s. I live in Texas, not exactly known for its tolerant attitude, and yet we have some of the best rape laws in the country. Forensic kits are held for two years in case a victim of sexual assault decides later to press charges. The rest of the laws aren’t perfect, but it’s something that a state known for not being LGBTQ friendly still protects survivors.

Now on to my real beef. Since Obama was elected president, the race card has been played on all sides. I’m well aware racism is alive and well in this country, but it feels like it’s becoming even more mainstream now. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, there were 1,018 active hate groups in the US in 2011. Want to see where your state stands? Click to view the hate map! Calfironia leads the US with 84, followed by Georgia with 65, Florida with 55, Texas with 45 and Mississippi with 41. They go down from there. Alaska, Rhode Island and Vermont each have one.

The point I’m trying to make is, this isn’t the country we were promised. Where is the equality? Where is the freedom of religion? Why are all the Republican candidates touting their religious affiliation? I don’t care what God you believe in, as long as you believe in equality.

Silence hurts everyone

Your silence doesn’t buy you freedom from the things that you’ve been through.
Not talking about your experiences just hurt others going through it with you.
It may feel like you’re the only one but there’s others out there too.
It’s time to speak out against the people who do this to you.
The hardest part is talking and that’s where their power lies.
They scared you into quietness with deceit and deny.
Families don’t want to talk about it in hopes that it will disappear.
But the power that they hold over you is the power of fear.

Forced sterilization

I already said in my bid for presidents that I don’t believe that as a male I should have any right whatsoever to tell a woman what to do with her body. Well, as a male I do believe I have the right to request sterilization for convicted rapists and repeat sexual offenders.

Yes this could possibly go against some human rights, but I believe that they have forfeited those rights by violating somebody else. Laws should not just protect the people who actually commit the crime but also protect the victims of crimes. No longer should a woman fear coming forward to admit that somebody sexually assaulted her. This rape culture that America has been fostering ever since it was founded needs to stop.

Yes, naked women are sexy, but it is not a man’s job to decide when a woman has sex. It’s bad enough that women only earns $.71 for every dollar a man earns but they should be able to dress any way they want and still have all the freedom that all men in America have.

Vote for me for President

I know jack shit about politics, so I’d be the best choice for the next president of the United States of America!

What’s my platform? How about keeping our noses out of each others business? I don’t care if you like to fuck. Fuck all you want, as long as it’s consensual.

You’re free to live the life you choose. Want to earn money by having sex with strangers? Go ahead, but register it as a private business, pay taxes and get checked regularly.

Let’s legalize marijuana, tax it like cigarettes and treat driving while under the influence the same way we do with alcohol. Do what you want, as long as it doesn’t hurt others.

Abortion? As a man, I have no right to tell a woman what to do with her body. No man does!

Same-sex marriage? Is it hurting other people? Does it take the magic out of heterosexual marriage? No. If you don’t like seeing two guys kissing, don’t look.

My platform is anti-rape, anti-discrimination and pro-living. So vote for Curtis Mueller for president. I can’t be worse than the Republican candidates!

I am…

I am a man!
I believe in a human being’s right to live life the way they choose, as long as they don’t hurt others.
I am a lover!
I like sex as much as just about everyone, but I can accept the word no.
I am a man,
But I will happily ask for directions if I’m not sure where I’m going.
I am an American,
But I don’t act ashamed when I buy condoms in a store.
I am a man,
And I’ve bought pads for a woman, with help from a friendly person at the grocery store so I didn’t fuck it up.
I am a driver,
But I share the road with everyone and understand that not everyone takes driving as calmly as I do.
I am a friend,
And I’ll help you to the ends of the earth, as long as it isn’t something illegal.
I am an asshole,
But you’ll only know it if things don’t go the way you want them to.
I am an addict,
But I can quit any time I want.
I am a man,
But seeing a woman cry always affects me inside.
I am human,
And I think all babies are adorable.

Wanderlust

Wanderlust was a damn funny movie, but you have to pay attention to catch the details. Oh, and if you like full frontal nudity, you’re in for a real treat!

Recent theatrical fare

I’ve seen quite a few movies in the theater lately, and most of them sucked. Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance was terrible. Safe House was a lot less action-y than I hoped. Surprisingly enough, Chronicle was the best movie I’ve seen lately and I had the least expectations with that one.
